Metta Assumption Theater Artistic Director and Educator – Ana Valdes-Lim received the Emerita Award last May 24, 2019 during the College Commencement Exercises.

Ana Valdes-Lim founded Marie Eugenie Theater of the Assumption (Metta) in 2004, a place for students to discover their specific talents, skills, passion and grace at performing. She also teaches Theater for Wellness as part of Education Reformation Program at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) and Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Ana Valdes-Lim shares the joy of acting to aspiring actors, theater enthusiasts and professionals. For her, theater is a form of healing and the future of Philippine theater. She loves to see theater as more of an experience for the audience; a platform that develops interaction and contribution to make the world a good place. Apart from love of theater, Ana spreads positivity, kindness and gratitude through sharing circle, meditation, and acts of kindness.
